What none of us need is negativity.
Well, 2020 has dished up a lot of negativity. So don’t feel that you’re alone if you are feeling anxious, depressed or lonely.
For once we are all in the same boat. With the current state of the world, it is hard not to worry.
As with all situations in life, you have two options you can let it get you down, or you can rise above it. Some worry is healthy. Too much worry, however, can cripple you, meaning you are unable to move forward.
If you listen to the news, they paint a negative picture, but in reality, times like this creates a wealth of opportunity.
But you need to be prepared.
There is a famous saying; Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. Now is the time to get prepared, and preparation starts with knowing the truth.
Truth then leads to faith.
We all have gifts and abilities that few of us use. The main reason for this is that many of our gifts we take for granted, or we dismiss them, thinking they’re not relevant.
An example, listening. You may not believe that listening is a talent, but it is a great gift. Expertise that many will need after this pandemic. Now I’m not writing today to tell you to change jobs or get more education. I’m here to open your mind up to new thoughts, to help you think more clearly.
There is so much fear around at the moment that its hard to avoid it, everywhere you go there are people trying to make sense of it all. Many are trying to come up with their own reasons.
The questions are endless…
The answers to most of them; no one knows or will ever know.
There is so much that we can worry about: work, relationships, money, health . . . but instead of panicking over what could happen, why not choose a different path?
A path of faith.
One where you let go of worry and focus on getting the most out of life. As I mentioned in previous posts, taking exercise, healthy eating, and using effective ways to relieve stress.
No matter what you have to face when you have a healthy body and mind, you are more than prepared to overcome it.
Over the last few months being at home, many of us have got out of shape, added with anxiety, stress and tension our bodies need some attention.
So I welcome you to feed your mind this weekend with content that builds you up and avoid anything that tears you down— into feelings of worry and doubt. Its good to stay informed but equally essential to look after your mental, physical and emotional health.
Take a walk or run, and connect with mother nature. Have a detox from all media and feed your mind, body, and faith with nourishment for the next few days, and notice the difference it makes.
Until the next time, take care.
